About this film:

This film is a portrait of the subsaharians inmigrants that are living in a clandestine way in Tangier. The thread goes around by the person of Godspower, a Liberian young man of 25 years old, who is celebrating, as he hopes, his last Christmas in Morocco. In a few months he will take the boat (known with the name of “patera”) who is going to drive him into Spain, putting an end on his journey that began three years before, in 2004.


The film narrate the 24 hours inside the life of Godspower, from the morning of december 30th until the midday of the 31. That days are holidays in two senses: by one side there is the traditional Christian Party of the Last Day of the Year and by the other hand there is the Muslim Fest of the Mutton. At the same time, Godspower seize the festive environment to give a reflection about his trip, his clandestine way of life in Morocco and the future that he will find when he gets to Europe.

Esta película es un retrato de los inmigrantes subsaharianos que viven de forma clandestina en Tánger. El hilo conductor es Godspower, un liberiano de 25 años, que celebra las que, espera, sean sus últimas navidades en Marruecos. En unos meses tomará la patera que le conducirá a España, poniendo fin a un viaje que comenzó tres años atrás, en 2004.

La película narra 24 horas en la vida de Godspower, desde la mañana de 30 de diciembre hasta el medio día del 31. Son días doblemente festivos: por un lado la fiesta cristiana de las Navidades y por otro la musulmana de la fiesta del cordero. Mientras le acompañamos durante esta jornada, Godspower aprovecha el ambiente festivo para reflexionar sobre su viaje, su vida clandestina en Marruecos y el futuro que le espera cuando llegue a Europa.
